JAM 2008 was Hong Kong’s very own International Music and Dance Festival with a blend of two artistic disciplines and played host to the YRock POP music and dance awards. Entertaining Asia worked with the event organisers YRock on elements such as booking Simon Webbe, artwork design and event marketing.
The aim of the festival was to highlight overseas artists in Hong Kong and showcase Asia Pacific’s home grown and emerging talent to the International markets. JAM seeks to encourage the development of high quality and original artists in music and dance through providing JAM as a platform for undiscovered talent.
JAM returned in 2008 with an even bigger line-up with Multi-Platinum Selling Artist Simon Webbe headlining the all day event. Simon Webbe was one of the members of UK's biggest boybands 'Blue' selling over 9 Million Albums worldwide. Following the success of Blue, Simon Webbe pursued his solo career by releasing his first album, ‘Sanctuary’ which went on to sell over 1 million copies worldwide and included 2 UK Top 5 singles, making it one of the most successful albums of the year.
Youth rock band Vinyl will also flew over for the event direct from Glasgow, Scotland to take part in YRock POP music and dance awards, which took place during the Festival. The band are seen as one of the best young talents in Scotland as finalists in the YRock Battle Of The Bands.
The Podium Level, Cyberport offered the perfect environment with over 800 attendees enjoying the live music, interactive performances and international stars.
